First Annual Mama Njere Birthday Celebration Tribute
Saturday, June 18, 2011 This letter is an effort to gain sponsorship for an annual Mama Njere Alghanee Birthday party and tribute. This year’s celebration will take place on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts at 7pm. Funds generated from this effort will be used to hold the event as well as sponsor children attending Afrikan centered schools. The Alghanee family wishes to honor our mother Njere Akosua Aminah Alghanee by establishing a foundation that continues her works. Organizations or individuals interested in sponsoring and schools interested in participating should contact Asiah Alghanee: Director of ABISA Alghanee Foundation (Afrikans born in slave land America) 678 698-5721 aziznow@hotmail.com P.O. Box 3009 Decatur, GA 30031 Mama Njere leaves us with her legacy as an organizer, advocate, educator, and liberator. She worked tiredlessly with various organizations with the goal of making the world better for her six children. Njere Alghanee has had a great impact on the New Afrikan and Rastafarian communities nationwide. As a result we would like to continue her efforts while contributing to the wellbeing of Afrikan people and focusing on the children. The other initiative is to contribute to the various organizations that she worked with. The mission of the ABISA Alghanee Foundation is to provide scholarships to children attending Afrikan Centered Schools and manpower to Afrikan centered organizations that work towards the liberation of Afrikan people locally and/or globally. The vision is to continue doing the work until Afrikan people are free and self sufficient. Our foundation will promote Afrikan children being exposed to Afrikan centered education and nation building. One Love for Afrikan Liberation, Alghanee Family |
