I was shocked and truly hurt when I heard last Saturday that she might have passed.

Still not sure, I called the radio station to no avail, kept looking on line in the obits. Finally I got another call that Derrick was paying tribute to her on the air Wednesday.

I am so sorry I missed that event. Njere was my friend, my confidant, my inspiration. From the first time I met her at a job we both worked on she was the most beautiful person I know.

She was articulate, well traveled, well versed, a real MOTHER and WIFE. She dearly loved her family, and would spare no expense for their needs.

She loved her community and was always busy thinking of ways to make it better for everyone concerned. Atlanta is a better city for having such a wonderful person as Sista Njere come to live here.

She was not like a lot of those who have moved here from everywhere else and brought their BAGGAGE, i.e., their crime, their rudeness, their bad driving habits and awful attitudes with them. She came here with sleeves rolled up and ready to do whatevver was necessary to make Atlanta her new home a better place for all.

Njere my dear friend, ALLAH saw what you tried to do for us here and decided he needed you in heaven, because he cotinues to see all the violence and uglyness that has invaded our city.

Although it has been a while since we have seen each other whenever we ran into each other or called each other it was just like yesterday.

YOU WERE TRULY MY FRIEND, MY SISTA AND I LOVED YOUR SPIRIT. THANKS FOR COMING INTO MY LIFE AND THANKS FOR COMING TO ATLANTA.

I am so thankful for having the opportunity to work with Warrior Queen Mother Empress Mama NJERE Akousa Alghanee. I could not have prayed for a better comrade big sister to do this Reparations work. We have many great memories and our challenges too.Yet we both recognized each others committment and dedication to the work of Reparations, NCOBRA and the Liberation of our people and therefore we always had each other's back.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Mama Njere.

A mighty tree has fallen, living a hold within the African family. It will take many warriors to pick up all that this Mighty Warrior Queen left behind. We lost a warrior but gain an ancestor.She takes her place as an ancestor leaving us with her spirit and her legacy which should bring a lost smile to our faces. We know with her spirit looking down upon us we are safe.

Peace, Power and One Love:

I have accepted the commandment of God to call Queen Mother Njere Alghanee home but as of yet, I cannot find a balm to soothe my ache for the lost of powerful woman and a friend. Gone too soon! Members of the National Black Herstory Task Force, Inc.(NBHTF) are so thankful that we had the pleasure of celebrating her life and legacy last March 27, 2010 in Atlanta, GA at our annual awards banquet. Njere was so regal that night! She wore a beautiful gown of Afro-Centric Cloth and a huge brown hat that defied gravity. She spoke eloquently and with purpose about her love for her family, her work and her people. What a strong warrior woman wrapped in sweet and gentle personality. Many foolishly mistakened this demeanor of this caring women as passive only to watch her unfold before their eyes as one of the most articulate and presuasive voices in the Black community. Njere will truly be missed but never forgotten. God bless the family.

Many a times I heard your sweet voice over the phone, a distant voice was a calling you the last I heard, it. I knew not the sound but I recognized the calling from afar. I was most saddened to not hear your voice again, but I rejoiced knowing that you are standing along side the ancestors, and I know, that we as a people will be alright, because you are there to join the fight. All the way across the waters, in Uganda, I heard the cheers as you join, them and they said "Well done our good and faithful servant for the first people of earth, the A-free-kans!!!

My Soul Sister, her spirit has now, ascended to the heavens. She has become an ancestor, who is now sitting with those ancestors, who came before her.

Queen Mother Ajere, assignment still has a Powerful effect on us; the Planet Earth and the universe. She over-stood her reason for being here in this universe. Queen Mother Ajere, over-stood the forces that work against us. I first met her in my home State, Florida at a Black Power Rally. I was introduce to her in different circumstances; we both would laugh about how we met; and we Shared so many laughs and pain as well. However, it was all in a spiritual order. Queen Mother Ajere, took me to her Hotel room because she had to retrieved some items. Immediately, I felt her Soul and definitely her spirit. Queen Mother Ajere, was looking at C-span; right then, I knew her soul and my soul was one. Because we both gave attention to the enemy and their work. I knew this Sister was the one that would help teach and guide me in this wilderness. We traveled together promoting N'COBRA.
I miss her so much, and my heart feels that; there wouldn't be another one like her. At times, when I think of her, tears just roll down my eyes, such a true spiritual soul who truly loved her people unconditionally. She was my soul Sister, I miss you Soul Sister!
