I thank you for all you put in me and the challenge you put forth to me and I except it. We will not fail it is already written REPARATIONS NOW!

RIP Sister Njere! I had so many encouraging and insightful conversations with her during my time in Atlanta that I can't express the impact that she made on my understanding of the movement and my place in it. She was a tireless and dedicated woman who stood strong for all of us.

Peace Be Upon You my Sister, with mercy and blessng from Allah.May your Soul rest in peace forever, you were the hardest working Sista for the struggle I ever knew.

You were the first person I came to, to start NCOBRA in Atlanta, and it was you who kept it going. You were the last of the original Cadre to keep "What Good Is a Song" going after I started it, you were the 'Mother of Manifestation' of my fatherly ideas, Thank You my Sista, words can never express my Love and Appreciation of you, you will truly be missed!

....and so your journey to the inner realm begins as your walk on the outer realm ends/Your influence in the outer realm continues so flow fluently/As your young wings grow stronger with each collapsing moment/Hear the clapping of our ancestral angels as they welcome you home/And when you make it on over go tell it on the ancestral mound/That it's time for the winds of change to blow/We must be ready

Journey precisely Mama Njere/My human being mourns your transition/But my divine being knows you are still with us

For death is not only the end/But also the beginning

I Love you and cherish your words of wisdom always

Insa!

She was truly a courageous woman.....in more ways than I will ever know. I Believe she can and will watch over her Beloved people and loved ones and will continue the work she was so passionate about.....possessing now another kind of POWER to do this. GOD BLESS YOU, SISTER COURAGE and GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY!

Mama Njere has taken to her path of light; she is able to aid us in a great many ways because her spirit is truly free. Let our praises for her life be heard from the highest mountain top and let our love for her shine brightly for her journey now as the great cloud of witnesses gather to welcome her. Watch us closely Njere, we will continue this beautiful struggle.

Your family's love, your community's love, your nation's love for you is everlasting

This sudden loss of the physical presence of Njere is sad and yet inspiring. My memory of that beautiful smile and the clear speaking of truth is a comfort. I especially remember Njere coming to Durham 6 years ago to speak to women about building their community organization in support of ending disparities in access to quality education. She was so vlear about the injury areas and being on the road to achieving our Reparations. We must push forward and honor her commitment to our struggle for Reparations.

Much love, respect and admiration for Queen Mother Njere!

TO THE FAMILY OF NJERE ALGHANEE:

I was shocked and truly hurt when I heard last Saturday that she might have passed.

Still not sure, I called the radio station to no avail, kept looking on line in the obits. Finally I got another call that Derrick was paying tribute to her on the air Wednesday.

I am so sorry I missed that event. Njere was my friend, my confidant, my inspiration. From the first time I met her at a job we both worked on she was the most beautiful person I know.

She was articulate, well traveled, well versed, a real MOTHER and WIFE. She dearly loved her family, and would spare no expense for their needs.

She loved her community and was always busy thinking of ways to make it better for everyone concerned. Atlanta is a better city for having such a wonderful person as Sista Njere come to live here.

She was not like a lot of those who have moved here from everywhere else and brought their BAGGAGE, i.e., their crime, their rudeness, their bad driving habits and awful attitudes with them. She came here with sleeves rolled up and ready to do whatevver was necessary to make Atlanta her new home a better place for all.

Njere my dear friend, ALLAH saw what you tried to do for us here and decided he needed you in heaven, because he cotinues to see all the violence and uglyness that has invaded our city.

Although it has been a while since we have seen each other whenever we ran into each other or called each other it was just like yesterday.

YOU WERE TRULY MY FRIEND, MY SISTA AND I LOVED YOUR SPIRIT. THANKS FOR COMING INTO MY LIFE AND THANKS FOR COMING TO ATLANTA.

PEACE BE UNTO YOU ALL DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME.

Giving thanks and Praises to JAH, Our Guardian Angels and Divine Ancestors!

I am so thankful for having the opportunity to work with Warrior Queen Mother Empress Mama NJERE Akousa Alghanee. I could not have prayed for a better comrade big sister to do this Reparations work. We have many great memories and our challenges too.Yet we both recognized each others committment and dedication to the work of Reparations, NCOBRA and the Liberation of our people and therefore we always had each other's back.

I know you will continue to guide and coach me.I know that you have more power now to work on our behalf in the invisible world. You know that I will continue to do the ceremonies and rituals to honor your Spirit and the Ancestors.

I thank your family for sharing you with us. I will be an Uncle to them.

We WILL continue building the Atlanta chapter of NCOBRA as well as forwarding your ideas and projects.

Fairwell Queen Mother Njere, time has called you to a land without pain or sorries. As the magic of life leave this mother earth space and transend you to a larger planet with colors that will never fade as life has done to you. Your journey has only just began. As we worked together as Southern Eastern Co-Ordinators for the Million Woman March, we thought that mission would take us higher in changes for our sisters, however, it took us higher than we can ever imagin. The roots that took place on October 25, 1997, was the beganning for us all who participated, but my sister Njere, never stopped the journey and mission dedcated to her as she took on a mighty mission to make Repreration a longer mission than it took with MWM. Now my sister, your journey will be lighter, you will not have rejections only peace is in front of you now.

Peace and love with the almighty joy of a magic kingdon.

Your sister of the All Mighty,
Sala

A solidarity statement to the family and friends of sister Njere

To whom it may concern:

It pains us to have to say farewell to Mama Njere. But, it is more than an honor for us to be among the many Afrikan freedom fighters (the world over), who are sending a written solidarity statement (in our absence) to the family, comrades and the movement in memory of Mama Njere.

We-The Prisoners of Consicence Committee- (or Panther Cubs) wish to say, Sister Njere will be missed. Moreover, that her spirit lives! "You can kill a revolutionary, but you can't kill the revolution." (Chairman Fred)

To the Family Of Warrior Queen Njere

I am so full, I just can not beleive she gone. Njere, open her arms to me at the Ga Coalition Against Hunger!!! She took me under arms and told me that I had spirit that the world was not ready for. She taught me being a black queen was being a gift from God. Which I knew,I just need her stamp of approval. She did so gracefully. She would multi-task the family, office, summits, conferences,an just being the Queen she was. I want to just thank you for sharing your mother with me. My life has change. I wear my Blackness well. I love you all, may God decrease you and increase him in you always.

Love You More

To the Family of Mama Njere

My deepest sympathy to the family of Mama Njere.

A mighty tree has fallen, living a hold within the African family. It will take many warriors to pick up all that this Mighty Warrior Queen left behind. We lost a warrior but gain an ancestor. She takes her place as an ancestor leaving us with her spirit and her legacy which should bring a lost smile to our faces. We know with her spirit looking down upon us we are safe.

Peace, Power and One Love:

Ultimate peace and comfort to the Alghanee fam! Mama Njere I love you so much! The news of your transitioning to the ancestors shocked me and it took me a minute to get my bearings. But when I got myself together I could hear your voice clearly saying "Just do the work" I could see your countenance shining even more brightly then when in your earthly presence. I was at the US Social Forum in Detroit at the time of your transcending. I bear witness that there was an earthquake and the thunder and lightning was so extreme and we were driving in it. It was huge with a beautiful hue of gold and purple. It was the I's powerful presence in the full representation of Queen Nyahbinghi! I saw you three very significant times this year. First we reasoned during the Selma Bridge Crossing Jubilee in the Hall of Resistance at the Slavery Museum. Your message to me was "You have a heavy work in Selma, but it is a sacred place. NCOBRA National conference 2012 must be held in Selma". Shortly after that I had the great pleasure of interviewing you via phone when I was on Selma's WBFZ 105.3 as Sistah SolJah of the BlackBelt. Then I saw you at the Empress Menen Conference and you sat right next to me and we had a beautiful fyah reasoning. Your message to me was "Us old heads are tired. We need to see some new faces carrying this thing". The last time that I saw you was at the Melchezidek House of Progressive Movement after the Midnite concert. You made a special appearance there just to see us. I told you that I was going to the US Social Forum in Detroit and your message was "That's kool, but we have to look out for our own, 'cuz no one else is going to do it". Of course you dropped a load of NCOBRA papers in my hand. I gave you a big hug and my message to you was "You take care of everyone else, but don't forget to take care of yourself." Mama Njere your reward in the heavenly place is great! Your homegoing celebration was merely a reflection of the angels rejoing that another light being has come home. Although we miss your physical presence, I know that you will make sure to keep those watchful eyes on all of we. I bear witness! So from Sistah SolJah to Sistah Courage I say I will find a way to carry it on!

I have accepted the commandment of God to call Queen Mother Njere Alghanee home but as of yet, I cannot find a balm to soothe my ache for the lost of powerful woman and a friend. Gone too soon! Members of the National Black Herstory Task Force, Inc.(NBHTF) are so thankful that we had the pleasure of celebrating her life and legacy last March 27, 2010 in Atlanta, GA at our annual awards banquet. Njere was so regal that night! She wore a beautiful gown of Afro-Centric Cloth and a huge brown hat that defied gravity. She spoke eloquently and with purpose about her love for her family, her work and her people. What a strong warrior woman wrapped in sweet and gentle personality. Many foolishly mistakened this demeanor of this caring women as passive only to watch her unfold before their eyes as one of the most articulate and presuasive voices in the Black community. Njere will truly be missed but never forgotten. God bless the family.

my condolences to Njere's family, friends, and comrades in the struggle for a better world.

I knew Njere at WRFG. Although we had some enjoyable conversations during the past couple of decades, I remember her most as an on-air presence. In recent years my schedule had made it difficult for me to hear What Good Is A Song on Friday evenings but there was a time several years ago when I looked forward each Friday to WGIASong and made sure I was at a radio to hear it.

It was a time of the program when Njere and a man whose name I don't remember except it began with R did WGIAS together.

I learned a lot listening to Njere both in what she said about NCobra and related issues and also in the way she used language.

Njere had a gift for expression, and I think she did for words on WRFG what Sulaiman did for music on WRFG. Sulaiman's accomplishment was showing us if we were listening to music the music should always have a progressive point and not simply be entertainment.

"Message Music" was the term he used, and it's still exemplified in the theme song at the start and ending of each broadcast of WGIAS.

Njere was beautiful in using language the way Sulaiman used music. Her phrasing, her choice of words [she was the first I heard say "I'll be Black after this message" (PSA, etc)], and her great use of energy in her diction-- I loved hearing her say "Skywide!"

Njere taught us to pay attention to the words we used all the time, not just when we were making a point or an argument.

58 is much too young for someone as good as Njere was to be gone, but I know I'll be thinking about her and what I learned from her during the years I have remaining.

Moma Njere;
Many a times I heard your sweet voice over the phone, a distant voice was a calling you the last I heard, it. I knew not the sound but I recognized the calling from afar. I was most saddened to not hear your voice again, but I rejoiced knowing that you are standing along side the ancestors, and I know, that we as a people will be alright, because you are there to join the fight. All the way across the waters, in Uganda, I heard the cheers as you join, them and they said "Well done our good and faithful servant for the first people of earth, the A-free-kans!!!

Mama Njere is my biological sister when we were young she was the youngest and I was given the job by our Mother to take care of my Little Sister. Years later when our mother passed Njere convinced me to move to Atlanta from Los Angeles, I did and I thank God that he allowed us these special times we had together. Rest in Peace my Sweet Baby Sister. With Tears In My Eyes You will be greatly missed. I will dedicate the forword in my book to you and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Alghanee Family.

My Soul Sister, her spirit has now, ascended to the heavens. She has become an ancestor, who is now sitting with those ancestors, who came before her.
(THE FREEDOM FIGHTERS; THE WARRIORS OF WARRIORS)They now, converse together about our Freedom.
Queen Mother Ajere, assignment still has a Powerful effect on us; the Planet Earth and the universe. She over-stood her reason for being here in this universe. Queen Mother Ajere, over-stood the forces that work against us. I first met her in my home State, Florida at a Black Power Rally. I was introduce to her in different circumstances; we both would laugh about how we met; and we Shared so many laughs and pain as well. However, it was all in a spiritual order. Queen Mother Ajere, took me to her Hotel room because she had to retrieved some items. Immediately, I felt her Soul and definitely her spirit. Queen Mother Ajere, was looking at C-span; right then, I knew her soul and my soul was one. Because we both gave attention to the enemy and their work. I knew this Sister was the one that would help teach and guide me in this wilderness. We traveled together promoting N'COBRA.
I miss her so much, and my heart feels that; there wouldn't be another one like her. At times, when I think of her, tears just roll down my eyes, such a true spiritual soul who truly loved her people unconditionally. She was my soul Sister, I miss you Soul Sister! Queen Mother Warrior Sister Ajere, Take Care! Peace**LoVe to you!

Sister Queen Hadijah Fard
